Ryxos

A primordial entity, existing in the nothingness in between planes. After awaking from their slumber, the only thing they desired was a return to the quietness of the void.

Origins

Older than time itself, no one knows where Ryxos came from or even what exactly they are. They have always existed and they will always exist, drifting through the void and only hoping for silence.

Awakening

As Lunara split the void, creating the earth and the moon, Ryxos felt a tremble, slowly awakening. If this would have been a one-time occurrence, perhaps Ryxos would have returned to sleep. But only a short while later another tremble echoed through the void, when Lunara and Kalia fought Faeryn, fully waking up Ryxos. Fully awake now, Ryxos decided to destroy them, leaving no traces of them having ever existed. But being cought between planes of existence, they could not directly interfere in their world. If they could, the world would have been over before it had a chance to fully start. This way, Ryxos' only option was through indirect means. After watching them, Ryxos saw the jealousy in Fearyn's heart and decided to use it for his purposes. As Fearyn was now isolated from the other gods, it was easy to influence him, whispering about how the others turned against him, and how he was the rightful ruler of the gods, with Kalia by his side. After seeing a fast success with Faeryn, Ryxos turned their attention to Kalia. Being apart from her lover for most of the time, she also harbored negative feelings Ryxos could exploit. But for her it took a significantly longer time to see any results, as she still saw her lover from time to time. Yet, she still succumbed to Ryxos' influence and gained a growing resentment against Lunara, but hiding it for many years as she gathered blue Moon Stones for her plan to eventually overthrow Lunara. This eventually culminated in the fateful night of The Marking, in which Lunara was imprisoned in her palace on the moon. Now the plan moved to it's second phase, with Kalia using her moon stones to create an army of nightstalkers to further gain a following and eventually summon Ryxos.

According to the stories Ryxos told, once enough nightstalkers were gathered, their bodies and the moon stones embedded inside them would allow Ryxos to rip a tear into reality itself and emerge in the world. This would then allow him to destroy the moon with Lunara inside, finally stopping her evil plans before they could come to fruition. And while the first part was indeed true, the second part was of course a lie, as were all the other stories Ryxos had told them. Once the rift has opened and Ryxos managed to enter the world, he would finally be able to end their childish play and return their world into the silence of nothingness, allowing them to rest eternally again.
