Orannum
A large, serpent-like dragon who's hoarding rare and unique creatures, keeping them inside his dungeons.
Appearance
Orrannum is a large dragon with green glass-like scales that are reminiscent of glass shards. He has a long, snake-like body with no legs, about 15m in length which he uses to coil around his prey before flying them back to his lair. However, since his wings are comparatively small, he prefers slithering over the ground when travelling large distances and only flies when absolutely necessary. While he does not have any elemental breath like many other dragons, he does have a venomous and acidic breath and many vemon glands on the fangs in his mouth.
Lair
Orannum's lair is located within the walls of a large canyon, within caves he partially caved out himself using his own acidic venom. The entrance gate consists of a large steel gate which can only be opened by pressing one of his scales into a small opening where a keyhole would be.
After passing this gate, one walks down a long slide of rough stone. In most usual homes this would be a set of stairs, but since Orannum does not have legs and likes to slither around, this is optimized for snake movement instead of the usual steps. This also acts as an additional hurdle for anyone trying to escape.
At the end of the slide, the lair opens into a large cave acting as Orannum's actual home. On one side, there is a slightly lowered area, just large enough for him to roll up in when he is asleep. Most of the other side is taken up by a library, filled with books about the many creatures of Moonspire. Each book contains marks for each creatur Orannum has found and collected in his dungeons and whether they are still alive, some with additional notes on how and where to find them.
Next to the entrance "stairs", the slide continues down another level, where the actual dungeons start. These go down many levels, each of which looks very similar to the ones below. The middle is taken up by the way up one level or down one level, and along the walls there are cells housing the different creatures in this level. Each level has a kind of "theme" with creatures obtained from a certain area or biome, some containing multiple creatures others containing only single ones. Below the staris leading up to the level above, in some levels there is a storage for some foods needed to keep the creatures alive. These are always only foods such as dried bread or fruits, which can be easily kept for a long time.
