Campaign Log
Once they woke up, the pary looked around their cage to find any clues. Eventually, they found a piece of Orannum scale, which they could not identify.
After their drug-addicted priest took a line of cocaine, the party managed to escape their cage. They used some of their drugs to cook acid which they then put on the door. From there, they heated the bars using the Megumins fireballs, which could then be struck down with Conan the detective-barbarian's axe.
Once they left their cell, they looked around to check out the other cages. The first one they looked at contained an Aethermoth. Before they could try to open the cage, the party's ranger scared it with the piece of scale and Megumin insisted they should leave all insects otherwise she would destroy them.
They then moved on to a different cell, which housed the Corpsevine Thornak. Recognizing Conan, Thornak decided to speak to them instead of returning to his slumber. At first, they could not make a lot of progress, the cat-boy Felix went down into the cell, but managed to escape again with Thornak's help.
In the mean time, the priest went off to explore other parts of the dungeon and found a Noxicube. He tried touching it through the bars, when the cube tried to bite off his hand. Pushing through the pain still very high on cocaine, he managed to pull himself free and remove a pice of the cube.
In the meantime, Felix climbed up to the next level only to find nothing much interesting there after exploring for a while. The next floor looked just like the previous one.
Unsure on how to proceed, the party decided to check out the remaining cells. There they found a Tidehoof, a Sporegrub, a Flickerlynx, a Cindertick, a Firequill, a Sylphara and a Dust Djinn.
The ranger immediately went towards the Sylphara along with Megumin. While Megumin unsuccessfully tried to identify the barrier in front of the cell, the ranger also scared it with the scale making it hide itself.
The ranger then tried to use the piece of Noxicube to destroy the Aethermoths' cage but had little success and left the moth behind. The priest then proceeded to take DMT, hoping to connect to his personal god, but instead his cocaine wore off and he started to have a bad trip noticing the pain from his injuries.
Conan and Megumin then went back to Thornak to ask him more information about their surroundings. They managed to uncover Orannum coming down about once a week to feed every creature in his dungeons but usually never coming down there himself.
While they were talking, Felix climbed up another level, only to find three Kynophis, who immediately attacked him. Only after clawing at one of them did he manage to escape to back to the floor below, where Conan and the ranger also gathered by now, clearing the way for Megumin to free Thornak.
After she unleashed a giant fireball, incinerating the entire floor as well as parts of the one below and above it, she collapsed having freed Thorkak from his prison and creating enogh space for him to stand up and carry her to the third level as well. The priest barely managed to escape the fireball, as well as most of the other creatures in the nearby cells, but somehow managed to return to reality and fix his worst wounds.
Feeling that Felix was under attack, Conan and the ranger climbed up another level to meet the dogs and fight them. Conan's arch nemesis, who was imprisoned on the floor right above them managed to escape through the fireball and join the fight trying to attack Conan. But being very clumsy, he mostly helped the party defeat the Kynophis instead of doing any damage to Conan. While they were fighting, the priest managed to climb up to them and join the fight, and together the three fighters managed to take them down. One was fully destroyed by Conan's pipe he took from the original cell, another one was cut in half by his axe, and the last one succumbed to multiple stab wounds and arrows, from both the priest and the ranger.
