Chimeri

Animal-like humanoids, ranging from almost human looking to barely distinguishable from animals.

Appearance

Among the Higher Beings, appearances vary the most among Chimeri. Most of them range between 1m and 2m in height but some outliers can reach up to 3m or even just 50cm. Some look very similar to humans with only simple animal traits such as tails, ears or horns, while others look more like animals, with some even looking like foxes or cows that are simply walking upright. They also sometimes combine different animal traits, having a fox tail with reptile scales for example.

Cultures

There are no towns or villages comprised of only Chimeri. Instead, they are spread around all of Moonspire, living amongst all kinds of races and often moving around different places throughout their lives. A lot of them live in Aetheara, where most towns have citizens of differing origins. Others prefer the mysterious city of Glimmervale, feeling a certain kinship with their misunderstood cousins, the Changelings.

The Umbral Glade is a place of high significance for Chimeri, and one each of them is supposed to visit at least once in their lifes. They believe the Sylphara inhabiting the forest are their ancestors, reaching into the plane of the living through Lyrax' magic.
