Dragons

Large, lizard-like beings capable of flight and often having elemental breaths.

Appearance

Dragons come in many shapes and sizes, the most common one being a four-legged lizard with giant wings, their body covered in scales. They can reach heights of up to 5m but smaller sizes of 1-2m are also very common.

Other kinds of dragons have longer bodies, some with more, some with less legs, the only commonality being all of them having a reptile-like body. Each kind of dragon can be further separated into multiple elemental types, including fire, frost, thunder and even acid dragons. These elementals draongs have a breath corresponding to the type, fire dragons being able to generate fire, frost dragons having ice breath and so on.

Dragons have a natural predisposition to collecting stuff. Stereotypically they collect gold and gems, but their preferences are as varied as the dragons themselves. While some do collect valuables like gold, others collect books, rare plants and even creatures.

Behaviour

Dragons are generally solitary creatures, either living alone or within a small group of companions. They have their personal keeps, often on the tops of mountains or inside caves, sometimes on top of Skywood Trees in the Skywood Grove. These usually either take the form of vast caverns carved out of stone, or large platforms high in the sky, sometimes connecting multiple mountain- or treetops.
