The creators and guardians of Moonspire, older than the world itself.

The Divine Triad

This is a group of three gods, Lunara, Kalia and Faeryn that created the world together. Lunara, the moon goddess and the most powerful of the three, created the earth and the moon, where she has taken up residence to this day. The other two then filled the world with life, creating the oceans and nature, making the planet habitable for the creatures they would go on to create. Afterwards, Lunara returned to earth and created her own creatures, the Higher Beings capable of their own thought and going on to create the societies and cultures found on moonspire today. Originaly, these three then planned to each take care of their own responsibilities, Lunara being in charge of the moon, Kalia taking care of the oceans and Faeryn looking after the lands. But after a falling out between Faeryn and the other two, he vanished never to be seen again, leaving the earth to Kalia alone.

The Lesser Gods

All gods not part of the divine triad are known as the lesser gods. They all have their own smaller responsibilities, such as Divara, the goddess of luck, Noctara or Xalthera, the goddess of knowledge and wisdom. No one, not even Lunara herself, knows the exact origins of these gods, they all came into being only after the higher beings were created, and seemingly created by the power of their beliefs. This is supported by the fact that these gods' powers vary depending on the number and fervency of their followers. But regardless of followers, they are still gods and are thus immortal, the only ones being able to kill lesser gods would be the ones in the triad. Thankfully, there have been no such incidents, as both Lunara and Kalia welcomed the new gods into their midst, happily sharing responsibilities with them and guiding them as their superiors.

Appearance

The gods have powers similar to Changelings, allowing them to change their appearance at will, but with no restriction on the shapes of these bodies. Still, most gods choose one appearance and shortly after coming into existence and don't change it very often during their lives, some for their lovers or friends, others to appear closer to their followers or for some entirely different reasons. They can similarly choose to have no bodies at all, which is how they spend most of their time, watching over the earth and their followers, without directly interfering outside of extreme circumstances, following the leads of Kalia and Lunara. However, their powers are very limited, even with many followers. They can usually only do regular magic which can also be achieved by adept magicians. And since they draw their powers from their followers, the more complex their actions, the more of their followers they will have to sacrifice to turn them into magical energy.
